Aarhus – Denmark’s happiest city Aarhus is a dynamic city on the Jutland peninsula. From here, beach, harbour and forest is all only a 15-minute bike ride away. Being young at heart means that the city can offer you a wide spectrum of cultural experiences, from nightlife, cultural events and shopping to the best restaurants in the region. 13 % of Aarhus’ population is students, making Aarhus the youngest city in Denmark. Whereas historically, it is one of the oldest. 315.000 people live in Aarhus and 1.2 million people live in the greater Aarhus area. We would love to see you around!

Methods of getting from the airport(s)/train-station to the City Centre/Hotel

You can fly to Aarhus Airport (Tirstrup) or Billund airport. From there you can take a bus to the station in Aarhus, which is in the city center of Aarhus and near the accommodation options. You can also get here by direct train from Copenhagen, in around 3 hours.

Draft Academic Programme

Besides visits and workshops at the lawfirms, it is possible to make lectures and various workshops at Aarhus University. Furthermore, it would be possible to visit Aarhus Courthouse.

Draft Social Programme

Museums:
Visit the distinctive art museum, ARoS, to see groundbreaking works from some of the world’s most progressive artists. You can also take a walk in the picture-friendly rainbow at the top of the museum.
Den Gamle By – The Old Town Museum is a unique, international attraction where you can take a stroll and enter the world of Aarhus during the Middle ages.

Royal visit:
Furthermore you can visit the summer residence of Her Majesty the Queen, here in Aarhus. Marselisborg Palace is a stunning royal landmark built at the start of the 1900’s. When the Queen is in residence, the changing of the guards takes place every day at noon. If you are visiting while the Queen is not at Marselisborg, you can visit Marselisborg Palace’s beautiful rose gardens.

Shopping:
Aarhus is frequently spoken of as the number one shopping destination in Scandinavia. Aarhus has the biggest international brands and Scandinavian shops and designers waiting to be discovered. So pack your shopping bags and take a little piece of Denmark with you home.

Nightlife:
There is a fantastic nightlife in Aarhus. It would be possible to make a tour at different bars or clubs with the local ELSA group.
