Aalborg – ”Nordens Paris” / ”Paris of the North” Aalborg is the fourth largest city in Denmark. It is located in the northern part of Denmark called Northern Jutland. In Aalborg you will find the waterway, the Limfjord. The waterfront is recently renovated. Here you can find Aalborg Harbour Bath, which allows you to take a swim in the Limfjord, and Jomfru Ane Park, where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere, or challenge your friends in a match of football or basket. A sunny and warm day is also perfect for a stroll along the Limfjord. During the last years, Aalborg has become a very lively university city. Aalborg University attracts a lot of students from especially Northern Jutland, but also from the rest of the country and other countries. Currently, the university has more than 20,000 students, who can enjoy a lot of social activities in the city of Aalborg. The city is known as a cultural city due to the Aalborg Museum of Modern Art called “Kunsten”, a lot of concerts, the theatre and the huge annual Aalborg Carnival, which takes place in May. Aalborg is known as Europe’s happiest city – and while visiting Aalborg, you will not doubt it for a single moment 

Accommodation Options
For visits in Aalborg we would recommend “Youth Hostel Aalborg” (http://hostel-aalborg.com). The hostel is located 3,5 kilometres from the centre of Aalborg, but is the cheapest accommodation option in Aalborg. You can easily take the bus from the hostel to the city centre. Bus route 2 is available from the hostel, and it only takes 20 minutes. The price is 25 Danish kroner (3.35 Euros). If you want to stay at a hotel in the city centre it will cost more than the hostel. Hotels in the city centre are CABINN Hotel Aalborg, Best Western Prinsen Hotel and Zleep Hotel Aalborg which opens in the end of January 2019. Zleep Hotel Aalborg will be the cheapest option when it opens.
Methods of getting from the airport(s)/train-station to the City Centre/Hotel
There are different opportunities to get from the airport to the city centre of Aalborg. You can take a bus from the airport to the city centre with following bus routes: 70 Airport – Aalborg, 71 Airport – Aalborg and 12 Airport - Universitetet. The price for a one-way trip is 25 Danish kroner (3.35 Euros). It takes 20 minutes to get to the central bus station in Aalborg centre. Another option is to take a cap from the airport where they often will be parked at arrival. The price is around 150 Danish kroner (20 Euros), and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the Aalborg city centre.

Law-firms include Hjulmand Kaptain and Law-firm Vingaardshus. Other firms/institutions you can visit is The District Court where it is possible to go to judicial hearings, but only in Danish, Ankestyrelsen / Social Appeals Board which is one of the largest places of employment for jurists in Northern Jutland, Aalborg Portland and Siemens.

Visit Aalborg University and attend a lecture.
We would recommend you to plan a visit at one of the law firms in Aalborg.
Also, a visit at the District Court is advisable. This will be a good opportunity to experience how a District Court works in Denmark.
