Göttingen is a university town, surrounded by the mountains of the Harz. Although it is a rather small town there is a lot to see and to learn about it, as it has a very long history, which is closely connected with the renowned Georg August University. ELSA Göttingen is a very motivated and welcoming local group and we would be happy to have you here!

Methods of getting from the airport(s)/train-station to the City Centre/Hotel

From the train station to the city center its only 15 minutes by foot. Göttingen does not have an airport but if you fly to Hanover airport it only takes 1.5 hours to reach Göttingen train station.

There are nice guided tours, we can take a walk to the „Bismarcktower“, visit a museum and learn about the history of the town and the
university. We have various students bars and clubs in Göttingen, so lets have some nice
night outs together!
