ELSA Munich is one of the biggest local groups of ELSA Germany, having more than 630 members.
Munich is the capital of Bavaria, the capital of beer and European art north of the Bavarian Alps. It is a city of contrast: a metropolis and still a village. In the heart of Munich the Ludwig-Maximilians-University is situaded, one of the leading research universitities in Europe, with a more than 500-year-long tradition and one of the best law faculties in the country.

Law firms: We have partnership with 12 different law firms with various specialisations; among others CMS Hasche Sigle, Dentons Europe LLP, DLA Piper, Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and many more).
Institutions: federal police at the airport, palace of justice, state chancellary, German Patent and Trademark office, Federal Finance Court , Higher Regional Court, Regional Court, District Court (possibility to go to judicial hearings but only in German)

- Lectures of the lawyers from the different law firms (possibility of doing that in the law firm itself)

Draft Social Programme
- City center – On a stroll through the pedestrian precincts you pass the „Frauenkirche“ (the Cathedral twin towers) – the symbol of Munich, the New City Hall, which is located at the Marienplatz, where people can listen to the carillon of the Glockenspiel twice a day and the Viktualienmarkt, which attracts people with a variety of different goods. From the tower of the Alten Peter (Peterskirche), Munich′s oldest church, you have a wonderful view of the city and the Alps.
- Oktoberfest – The highlight at the end of September: Europe’s biggest beer and public festival with traditional bavarian music, lots of party, good food and roller coaster rides
- Nymphenburg Castle – the Royal residence – one of Europe′s greatest palace complexes with a beautiful park area
- Hofbräuhaus and many beer gardens
- English Garden – Munich´s own piece of nature paradise in the heart of the city with an own surfer wave (Eisbachwelle)
- City of art – more than hundred museums and galleries à BMW Museum
- Munich nightlife / Bar hopping
- Bavarian Alps and Lakes – nearby for hiking and enjoying the beautiful landscape
