Wrocław (vrots-wahf) is Poland’s fourth-largest city, and the major industrial, commercial and educational centre for the southwestern Poland. Under the influence of Bohemian, Austrian and Prussian the city has developed its own architectural and artistic style, symbolised by its magnificent market square. An European Capital of Culture in 2016, Wrocław is considered to be a real cultural centre with numerous theatres, clubs, charmful cafes and a variety of festivals. What also attracts tourist to the capital of Lower Silesia is over 320 little dwarfs, spread all over the city, waiting to be found!

Wrocław is situated on the both sides of the Odra River and its four tributaries with flow across the city. It indeed is called a city of hundred bridges – no without a reason as it has one of the biggest number of bridges in Europe. With its 12 islands, 130 bridges and the astonishing Cathedral Island the city has achieved a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Even Stevan Spielberg has appreciated the charm of the post-war tenement houses of Wrocław, choosing the city for the plan of his film with Tom Hanks – Bridge of Spies. A thriving multicultural centre, Wrocław is home to a growing student community with a student population of over 140,000, making it one of the most youthful cities in the country.
