Nestled in the heart of the Veneto region, Padova is a city rich in cultural heritage, history, and artistic
treasures. Hosted by ELSA Padova, this bilateral study visit focuses on Cultural Heritage Law, which is especially significant in Italy due to its large collection of cultural assets. Veneto is a special place where the protection and promotion of art and history blend with the vibrant life of its communities.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in protecting artistic heritage. They will explore the conservation of architectural works and frescoes, along with the legal frameworks that support them.
They will have chances to learn about the role of the Regional Administrative Court (TAR), discover the historical importance of Palazzo Bo, and delve into the rich history of Padova itself.
The goal of this bilateral exchange is to let participants enjoy local culture, history, and culinary traditions—from spritz and bruschetta to Venetian bacari and Italy’s famous pizzas and pastas. Along with academic and social activities, this experience offers a chance to discover a different local reality. The event promotes genuine dialogue between diverse cultural and legal viewpoints, improving understanding and cooperation in protecting cultural heritage.
